Right from 90's of the of the previous century till today, the IT services industry in india has taken a gaint leap. This is because of the cheap talented labour, the lesser cost of living, the ability of the people to communicate in english and the large pool of talented young professionals, eager to take up the job... Oooffffffff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... Yeah, the market guru's of india say that, this industry is gonna grow like this for the next 10 years.....! Is it true ??? Will the fresh talent emerging out of the colleges are just on their toes to take up massive assignments from the IT gaints from outside india. Moreover, the whoping bugs that they through... makes all this to work....
Will this going to continue... ? Or it's just a burst that we are seeing it now...! I really can't say anything. The Information Technology companies in india, have started a massive drive to hire fresh engineering graduates, for the work, where, their talents will be least used.....
Yeah! I mean what I just said. The talent is normally under-utilised. Most of the engineers in india, are meant to work for some service support companies , which provided IT solutions. What does this "IT services" or "IT solutions " really mean ?
This kind of industry involves a mind set of debugging the programs, written by some one, and making it fail safe. It also involves a small kind of plugin development etc..
Here comes the punch liner.... Normally, some companies hire the engineers, as software programmers and then make them to bug fix or do some testing or do some documentation for the program written by some one ???? Is is fair enough....?
Why do indian Biggies like infosys and wipro are not going for product development, there by generating more revenue for the company as well as might provide employment for millions of people in india....
What are the consequences of this industry ???
It will lead to a big pool of unsatisfied people.........ultimately to brain drain.........
Who is losing here ???? Is it the industry or the IT professionals out here......
China.. Japan... Pakistan.... all are in race to acquire this Booming industry.... are we doing some thing towards it... ?
